Construction is where we find the old saying “when all is said and done, more is said than done” most true. There’s a lot of talk about Green Building or just good building: we make it our goal to put it all into place.

We know that if you don’t understand the design, the drawings become just a “general guideline” for what actually gets built. If you don’t really understand the integration of different subcontractor’s work, systems and materials you lose time, money, and efficiency. And cost is paramount: if you don’t understand the bottom line budget, you won’t be in construction long because you won’t keep your business afloat or your clients happy.

Our most common construction project is a hybrid between a spec and a custom starter home. We call it a “hybrid” because we typically start with our Plan Book – sometimes even with a design our clients bring us – and customize it with a wide range of standard interior and exterior choices… even upgrades on many items. And smaller is Greener: what was once a starter home is more and more also the choice of families looking to downsize.

We specialize in cost effective Green Building – especially in the use of SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) – both as turnkey General Contractors and often as primary subcontractors for framing and SIPs installation.
